# 4 of house hold and food ingredients !!!

Ladies !!

This is number 4 of the 5 I'm sharing of house hold and food ingredients that will help with beauty. Number 4 is good old grapefruit, fresh smelling and full of vitamin C. So I hope that you enjoy what I have to share ♥ KT

Grapefruit salt scrub (it keeps in the fridge for up to 2 weeks).

Ingredients:

1/2 cup kosher salt
1 tbsp. grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp. grapefruit zest
1 cup almond or sesame oil

Directions:

Stir all ingredients together and store in an air-tight container or a nice looking jar. Voila! You just made your own grapefruit scrub to use all over your body (but because of the salt we recommend you avoid your face or freshly shaven legs! because it may burn.

Grapefruit & Parsley Facial Mask
4 T very fine oatmeal
3 T fresh parsley, chopped ( curly or flat )
1/2 large grapefruit ( white or red )
Grind oatmeal in a food processor or  clean coffee/ spice grinder Mix oatmeal with chopped fresh parsley in a bowl. Add juice from half of a large grapefruit until you have a soft paste. Let the mixture rest 5 minutes. Spread soft mixture over your face and let dry for approximately 10-20 minutes. Rinse with warm water. Use this facial mask once a week for oily skin. * If you have open acne it might burn or sting when applying. I would wait till they have scabbed over or wait till heeled. But if used with open acne it wont hurt or make acne worse.
Honey Grapefruit Lip Gloss ( Can be used with other flavors )
7-8 t sweet almond oil
2 t beeswax
1 vitamin E capsule
1 t honey
5 drops grapefruit flavoring or grapefruit essential oil
Melt the almond oil and beeswax together in a microwave safe container for one to two minutes ( depending of micro) . Remove the mixture from the microwave. Pierce the vitamin E capsule with a pin or the tip of a knife and squirt into mixture. Add essential oil or flavoring. Whisk the mixture until set. Transfer into a small cosmetic or lip balm container with a tight lid.
Almond Grapefruit Facial Toner
1/2 c rose, lavender, or distilled water
1 t pure vegetable glycerin
1/4 to 1 t sweet almond oil
12 drops grapefruit seed extract
Make the rose or lavender water by placing a small handful of dried organic rose petals or lavender in a pint mason jar and adding boiling water to cover. Let steep overnight, then thoroughly strain possibly use cheese cloth to get any small grit. Combine the remaining ingredients in a glass jar and shake to blend. Dab some on a cotton round or ball massage into your skin. Keep toner stored in the refrigerator for no more than two weeks.
